MCAP's IT Department Makes A Perfect Fit With TimeControl Online

MCAP, a large independent mortgage financing company with 700 employees across nine offices in Canada, needed a better way for its IT department to track time, manage projects, and accurately charge costs back to multiple business units and cost centres. Its previous internal project system did not fit the company’s dynamic business model, made it hard to know who was paying for what, and often led to under-reporting of time.

HMS Software implemented TimeControl Online, a hosted timesheet and project tracking service, configuring it so users could assign time to multiple cost centres and report easily from any web browser. The result was simpler time entry, better project and chargeback visibility, and more confident financial reporting; MCAP said it could now see where funds were going with certainty and could change reporting as needed on a monthly basis.
