Cimmetry Systems Corp., a Québec-based software developer, needed a better way to centralize project management, improve collaboration across development teams, and get a clear view of active projects, resources, and dependencies. Working with HMS Software, the company looked for an enterprise project management solution that could also support document management and help staff see the bigger picture across all work in progress.

HMS Software implemented a Microsoft-based EPM solution using Project Server 2003, Project 2003, and Windows SharePoint Services on a secure Windows XP SP2 and Windows Server 2003 platform. The new system improved project management and resource allocation, streamlined communication, strengthened security, and gave Cimmetry real-time visibility into all development work, helping teams track progress, resolve roadblocks faster, and reduce time spent searching for status updates and documents.
