Case Study: The Royal College of Occupational Therapists builds a thriving member community with Hivebrite

A Hivebrite Case Study

The Royal College of Occupational Therapists reaches 8,000 members with Hivebrite

The Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) faced a fragmented digital community where member connections were limited and had to be brokered by its central team, creating a significant bottleneck to engagement. Seeking to make community a core part of membership, RCOT partnered with Hivebrite to build a new, inclusive platform.

Using Hivebrite, RCOT implemented an open, network-based model built around member-led groups. This solution handed control back to the members, facilitating direct connections and discussions. The results were significant, with the community growing to 8,000 members in just over a year. Engagement soared, with 73% of members immediately joining a specialist group and the platform recording 51,000 interactions, fundamentally improving both member-to-member and organizational connections.
