IIASA creates community around flagship event to increase reach and impact

IIASA, the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, partnered with Hivebrite to strengthen engagement around its flagship Scenarios Forum and other events. As the institute moved its 2022 forum to a hybrid format, it needed a better way to manage registrations, improve the attendee experience, and create a more connected community for researchers, alumni, and partners.

Using Hivebrite’s Event Management Module and community platform, IIASA created a dedicated event group with ticketing, payments, agenda access, live-streaming, QR code check-in, branded communications, and post-event discussion features. Hivebrite helped IIASA boost attendance to 515 participants, a 74.6% increase over the previous edition, while achieving an average attendee satisfaction score of 4.2/5 and reducing time spent on administrative tasks.
