A Hivebrite Case Study

Preview of the Girl Up Case Study

Girl Up movement continues to drive gender equality and social impact

Girl Up, a United Nations Foundation initiative that supports adolescent girls and runs leadership programs worldwide, faced a surge in online engagement and found its previous platform couldn’t facilitate connections, meaningful exchanges, or a scalable sense of belonging. To address this, Girl Up partnered with Hivebrite and adopted Hivebrite’s community engagement platform to rebuild a centralized, branded community experience.

Using Hivebrite’s Group Module, autonomous clubs publish hyper‑targeted content, organize events, run forums, and connect via a member directory and fully branded mobile app; the team also used member feedback to streamline sign‑up journeys. As a result of Hivebrite’s solution, Girl Up saw a 1,592% increase in memberships and a 3,438% increase in member activity within six months, plus the creation of five interest‑based groups and improved local club growth and event turnout.
