Case Study: Jackson Wild builds a year‑round global community of nature filmmakers with Hivebrite

A Hivebrite Case Study

Preview of the Jackson Wild Case Study

How Jackson Wild uses its community to strengthen connection and commitment to the natural world

Jackson Wild, a non-profit that promotes nature, science, and climate storytelling, partnered with Hivebrite to build the Jackson Wild Collective after members asked for programming beyond its biennial Summit. The organization’s challenge was to create a year‑round virtual home where filmmakers, Fellows, and industry peers could connect, collaborate, and access targeted career and conservation resources.

Using Hivebrite’s community platform, Jackson Wild launched the Collective with features such as Groups, a global talent database, masterclasses, a job board, a resource hub, and events. The Hivebrite-powered community now has 1,658 active users and a 64% member activation rate, helping members find local crews, join affinity cohorts (including Fellows and LGBTQIA+ creators), and move from the Collective into volunteer and Fellowship opportunities while amplifying diverse conservation storytelling.
