Hive Streaming Solves Video Communication Challenges for Hexion

Hexion, a global leader in thermoset resins with more than 4,000 associates across 30 countries, needed a better way to deliver company-wide video communications. The company wanted a solution that would support transparent, real-time dialogue for global audiences, reduce network strain, integrate with Microsoft Office 365 and Skype Meeting Broadcast, and deliver consistent video quality in multiple languages. Hive Streaming was selected to help solve these challenges with its software-based video delivery solution.

Hive Streaming implemented its video delivery platform and analytics tools, including Hive Insights and Silent Testing, to optimize broadcasts across Hexion’s network. The result was a successful company-wide town hall that reached more than 800 participants across 20 cities, 11 countries, and 21 locations, with 85% of viewers reporting a good or excellent experience and bandwidth savings as high as 99% through peering. Hexion also reported improved video quality, easier Q&A, and lower costs than traditional town halls, giving the company confidence to expand internal video communications further using Hive Streaming.
