Sun Life advances diversity, equity and inclusion with Hive Learning

Sun Life, a global insurance and asset management company with 34,000 employees, wanted to strengthen diversity, equity and inclusion across its workforce while balancing one clear global message with local nuance. To support this goal, the company partnered with Hive Learning and used its digital peer learning inclusion program, Inclusion Works, branded internally as Kaleidoscope.

Hive Learning’s platform was rolled out first in an 18-month pilot to 1,500 employees in North America and Asia, embedding small but powerful inclusive behaviors into daily routines. The pilot delivered strong results, with 94% of participants feeling confident demonstrating inclusive behaviors at work, 92% finding the experience engaging and valuable, and 96% believing it would drive positive change at Sun Life. Following this success, Sun Life expanded the program globally to all employees.
