Babcock DST uses Hive Learning to embed new values and behaviors

Babcock International Group’s Defence Systems Technology business unit needed to embed refreshed core values and behaviors across a global workforce of 1,600 employees, while also responding to the sudden challenges of COVID-19, remote work, and employee burnout. They turned to Hive Learning and its mobile-first peer-learning platform to help create practical, social learning experiences around leadership, resilience, inclusion, and collaboration.

Hive Learning helped Babcock DST launch a tailored program in under two weeks, using off-the-shelf content as a foundation and then adding bite-sized, company-specific learning, peer communities, and engagement campaigns. The results were strong: 2 in 3 users logged in weekly, 3,500 contributions were made, 86% of the organization registered on the platform, and 94% of participants completed an inclusive action. Babcock DST also saw 177 unprompted mentions of Hive Learning in an internal survey and won the bronze award for 2021 Learning Platform of the Year.
