West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership co-designs My Needs prototype with Hive IT, engaging 51 people and 82 survey responses

Hive IT partnered with the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership to address a challenge faced by children and young people on the autism spectrum. These individuals often encounter significant communication barriers when trying to access essential health and other services, making it difficult for them to express their needs effectively.

The solution developed by Hive IT was a co-designed prototype app named 'My Needs'. Through collaborative workshops and iterative prototyping with Thrive by Design, Hive IT created a tool that helps users communicate their requirements. The project successfully engaged 51 participants in remote workshops and received 82 survey responses, leading to a prototype ready for development into a minimal viable product. Hive IT delivered a report with key findings and recommendations, establishing a foundation for a wider application that could benefit a broader range of people and services beyond its initial scope.
