The Eagles Foundation builds a searchable heritage site with Hive IT

The Eagles Foundation, a registered charity partnered with the Sheffield Eagles rugby club, needed a website to capture and share the team's rich history. They engaged Hive IT to build an accessible platform that would serve as a searchable database for statistics, media, and articles, preserving the past while recording future heritage.

Hive IT developed the website using React and the Sanity.io content management system. The solution included the Algolia search tool to manage the large amount of data and was built to meet accessibility guidelines. The resulting site provides a platform for the foundation to share collected stories and media and allows users to contribute their own content, creating a lasting resource for the community.
