WERTGARANTIE Group, a Hannover‑based insurance provider serving over 6.75 million customers, faced slow, hard-to-audit analytics from a custom integration stack while supporting reporting needs for more than 200 business stakeholders. To improve speed‑to‑insight, scalability and auditability for operational decision‑making, the insurer selected Hitachi Vantara’s Pentaho Data Integration (a Hitachi Lumada portfolio product) to modernize its data warehouse and standardize ETL processes.

Working with Hitachi Vantara, WERTGARANTIE Group deployed Pentaho Data Integration, standardized 600 data pipelines across 750 tables, and implemented continuous monitoring and job scheduling; Hitachi Vantara also provided training and support during rollout. The result: daily data processing time fell by about 70% (from ~7 hours to ~2.5 hours), month‑end KPIs are delivered reliably on day one, the warehouse now holds 1.5 billion records supporting 30 KPIs with 44 dimensions, communication with 200+ stakeholders is streamlined, data quality improved, and the team expects a full ROI within a few years.
