Publiacqua, the integrated water service provider for the central Valdarno area in Tuscany serving about 1.277 million residents, faced rapid information growth and fragmented storage across multiple platforms while needing high availability for mission‑critical workloads. To address these challenges, Publiacqua selected Hitachi Vantara (via partner TAI Software Solutions) and its Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) combined with Hitachi Dynamic Tiering to provide a scalable, high‑performance enterprise storage solution.

Hitachi Vantara implemented VSP with SSD-backed tiers and Dynamic Tiering, consolidating storage onto a single platform and completing migration and startup in just over 10 days with no user downtime.
