Türk Telekom Drives Efficiencies and Transformation with High-Performance Storage

Türk Telekom, a leading telecom provider in Turkey, needed to modernize its infrastructure to support agile cloud services for internal and external customers while keeping mission-critical billing, SAP, virtualization, and cloud systems reliable and manageable as data volumes grew. The company turned to Hitachi Vantara and its Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) 5000 series to replace legacy storage and better support its digital transformation goals.

Hitachi Vantara implemented a new storage environment with one VSP 5600 and three VSP 5200 arrays, plus Hitachi Ops Center Administrator, Analyzer, and Protector for centralized management and data protection. The results were significant: 5x faster application response times, 4x higher data throughput, 30% lower total cost of ownership, a reduction from 23 cabinets to 9, 60% lower data center space/power/cooling costs, and 87% less time spent on storage management tasks.
