Toll Group Upgrades to Hitachi Storage to Ship Business Benefits Nationally

Toll Group, the Asia-Pacific transport and logistics provider with more than 45,000 employees across some 1,200 locations, faced a disparate, end-of-life storage environment after a period of acquisitions and needed to consolidate UNIX and storage systems to support data-driven projects and five-year growth. Toll selected Hitachi Vantara, deploying Hitachi NAS Platform, Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) and Hitachi Command Suite to meet requirements for 24/7 uptime and a non‑disruptive migration.

Hitachi Vantara implemented HNAS, VSP and the Hitachi Command Suite with storage virtualization and a planned migration strategy, delivering the project on time with zero interruptions and cost‑neutral implementation. The solution improved performance, scale and reliability—backup elapsed time fell from 12 hours to 4 hours, capacity was expanded within a month, and Toll has already extended and begun expanding the Hitachi Vantara solution across its core networking infrastructure to support future growth and business continuity.
