Tokyo Stock Exchange Standardizes and Streamlines Data Processing and Analytics With Pentaho and Cloudera

Japan Exchange Group, which operates the Tokyo Stock Exchange, faced rapidly rising transaction volumes (tens of millions on typical days and more than 100 million on busy days) and fragmented data across siloed business systems that made consolidation, preparation and analytics slow and labor‑intensive. To enable digital transformation and streamline operations, the Group engaged Hitachi Vantara and adopted Hitachi’s Lumada Pentaho products (Pentaho Data Integration and Pentaho Business Analytics).

Hitachi Vantara implemented a new data platform using Pentaho alongside Cloudera to standardize data integration, provide no‑code data pipelines, and deliver visualization and analytics. The solution accelerated batch analytics by enabling parallel processing, streamlined data preparation, supports processing of 100M+ transactions per day, and delivers a scalable architecture intended to underpin a single data‑utilization platform for the entire Japan Exchange Group.
