A Hitachi Vantara Case Study

Preview of the KSC Commercial Internet Case Study

Thai Internet Provider Builds Foundation for Virtualization and Cloud Offerings on Hitachi Storage

KSC Commercial Internet, Thailand’s first commercial ISP, needed new storage to support its move into virtualization and cloud services after its existing disks could not run VMware. To modernize infrastructure and offer public-cloud products to corporate customers, KSC selected Hitachi Vantara solutions including the Hitachi Adaptable Modular Storage 2100 (AMS 2100) and Hitachi Unified Storage 150 (HUS 150).

Hitachi Vantara deployed AMS 2100 to deliver enterprise-level performance and smooth VMware support, and HUS 150 (along with Hitachi Content Platform 500 and Hitachi Data Ingestor) to enable scalable cloud and email-archiving services. The implementation provided continuous operation with RAID-6 protection, met performance specifications, reduced operational concerns, sped up backups, and positioned KSC to expand cloud offerings for corporate accounts.
