Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Guarantees Nonstop Operation With Hitachi Enterprise Storage Technologies

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange faced a critical availability challenge: as Israel’s sole stock exchange handling millions of transactions daily, TASE needed its virtualized environments and VDI to remain accessible without lengthy downtime. To achieve nonstop operation and faster disaster recovery, the exchange turned to Hitachi Vantara for a data protection, business continuity and continuous data mobility solution, deploying Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform G1000 hardware and related storage software.

Hitachi Vantara implemented an active‑active cluster using two VSP G1000 systems with the Hitachi Storage Virtualization Operating System global‑active device, automating failover between primary and DR sites and extending protection to Exchange, SQL Server and web systems. The result: failover time dropped from about 13 hours to just several minutes (a >95% reduction), fully automated recovery, continuous 24/7 operation, complete data consistency and greatly reduced manual intervention and pressure on the storage team.
