Taylor Wessing, a full-service international law firm, needed to modernize its IT to increase security, resilience and speed of innovation while transitioning from an aging failover data center to the cloud. They engaged Hitachi Vantara for a Multicloud Acceleration Solution and cloud migration services to assess their environment and recommend a move to Microsoft Azure with IaaS, Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service and cloud collaboration tools.

Hitachi Vantara executed the migration—implementing Azure Site Recovery, IaaS, Exchange Online/Skype for Business, Microsoft Intune and related cloud services—giving developers a self-service portal that cut server and storage provisioning from weeks or months to hours or minutes, strengthening cyber defenses with continuously updated Microsoft security controls, and ensuring failover continuity. The project simplified secure remote work for lawyers, avoided the cost of building new on‑premises data centers, and delivered scalable, pay-as-you-go capacity and measurable resilience improvements.
