SVD Büromanagement Supports Major Transformation of Social and Health Insurance in Austria

SVD Büromanagement, which delivers critical business and procurement services to four major Austrian social and health insurers (about two million citizens) and supports some 4,500 business users, needed ultra‑reliable, highly available and compliant IT services to handle client mergers, demanding test/dev workloads and strict regulatory change. To meet this challenge, SVD Büromanagement partnered with Hitachi Vantara to modernize its data center, deploying Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform G600 all‑flash arrays, Hitachi Content Platform G10 object storage and Pentaho Data Integration.

Hitachi Vantara implemented an integrated storage, content and analytics platform—using VSP G600 systems with Global‑Active Device mirroring, Hitachi Infrastructure Analytics Advisor and Pentaho—to ensure continuous availability, simplify storage management and accelerate workflows. As a result, SVD Büromanagement reports zero downtime for critical services, a 30% improvement in batch processing times, faster implementations and migrations, improved scalability and ongoing collaboration with Hitachi Vantara to support continuous improvement.
