Supporting Austria’s Agriculture with Robust and Reliable Storage Infrastructure

AgrarMarkt Austria (AMA) supports around 130,000 farms across Austria with financial, marketing, and operational services, but its mission-critical applications were running in a complex VMware-based environment that needed a storage upgrade to keep pace with future data growth. To improve efficiency, availability, and performance, AMA turned to Hitachi Vantara and its Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) E790.

Hitachi Vantara implemented two fully redundant VSP E790 systems across two separate data centers, delivering transparent failover, high-performance NVMe storage, and adaptive data reduction. The result was smoother operation of key workloads such as SAP, Oracle, farm surveys, geographic analysis, financial management, and subsidies, helping AMA’s 180 employees work more efficiently while improving business continuity and storage utilization.
