La Molisana, one of Italy’s largest pasta producers, wanted to support ambitious growth into new markets while maintaining fast, reliable, and secure operations. To do that, the company needed a storage environment that could handle rising data volumes from ERP, supply chain, and finance applications without downtime, while also improving cyber resilience and sustainability. It turned to Hitachi Vantara and its Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform One Block (VSP One Block) as part of its infrastructure modernization.

Hitachi Vantara implemented VSP One Block with NVMe flash, native integration with Veeam backup, and built-in immutable snapshots to strengthen data protection and simplify backup and recovery. The new platform delivered a 2.5x improvement in storage performance, a 5:1 data compression ratio, and more than a 30% reduction in energy consumption, while also reducing physical footprint and downtime risk. As a result, La Molisana gained a scalable, secure, and more sustainable storage foundation to support continued growth and expansion.
