Spidex Software, an award-winning provider of computerized maintenance management solutions, needed to get more value from its Mainsaver application by integrating additional data sources and producing richer reports. To meet this challenge, Spidex partnered with Hitachi Vantara and adopted Pentaho Data Integration and Pentaho Business Analytics as its data integration and BI platform.

Hitachi Vantara implemented Pentaho to automate data processing and deliver reporting, dashboards and analytics, backed by enablement, training and third-level support through an OEM agreement. The Hitachi Vantara solution gave Spidex rapid time-to-market with a standards-based, easily integrated architecture, increased revenue via cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, improved margins from a low-cost open-source model, and reduced administrative effort—saving hundreds of man-hours—while enabling customers to quickly identify and resolve issues.
