Sopra Steria Aggregates Data From Many Sources

Sopra Steria, a European leader in digital transformation, needed to aggregate data from many sources in its project planning platform to produce holistic consolidation reports for steering teams, operations and executives, with simple filtering and profile-based access for thousands of BI users. To address this, Sopra Steria turned to Hitachi Vantara’s Pentaho platform—specifically Pentaho Data Integration and Pentaho Business Analytics—to standardize, govern and simplify its data processes.

Hitachi Vantara implemented Pentaho Data Integration for ETL and Pentaho Business Analytics (via an OEM relationship) to automate processing, centralize heterogeneous data and deliver interactive/analyzer/dashboard reports integrated into Sopra Steria’s project planning system. The solution consolidated data across large programs, delivered a unified economic and operational view, accelerated data delivery to a central point, enabled personalized reporting with access controls, and proved cost-effective for thousands of users.
