Retail Zoo Integrates Data Sources

Retail Zoo, a leading Australian food franchise (Boost Juice, Salsa’s Fresh Mex, Cibo Espresso), needed a scalable analytics platform to standardize and integrate growing data sources across multiple brands and deliver real-time, franchisee-level insights into sales and cost of goods. To meet fast time-to-market and minimal IT overhead requirements, Retail Zoo selected Hitachi Vantara’s Pentaho solutions—Pentaho Data Integration and Pentaho Business Analytics.

Hitachi Vantara implemented Pentaho Data Integration to ingest loyalty, POS, sales, location and other data and Pentaho Business Analytics to build dashboards and KPIs (deployment supported by partner BizCubed). The solution reduced query time, freed IT from manual scripting and data cleansing, streamlined group-level reporting and analytics, enabled easier integration of new sources, and produced more meaningful, holistic reports—delivering lower total cost of ownership and improved franchisee decision-making.
