Large Utility Company, working with Hitachi Vantara, needed to strengthen cyber resilience for its critical infrastructure and meet a strict one-hour recovery time objective for key systems. Facing growing ransomware risks and the need to protect 250 virtual machines and physical servers totaling about 370TB of data, the utility looked for a scalable, reliable data protection solution.

Hitachi Vantara, together with partner VM2020, implemented an isolated recovery environment built on VSP 5200 arrays, using Ops Center Protector for immutable snapshots and CyberVR to automate recovery. The solution enables recovery of 370TB within one hour and can restore individual VMs in as little as 10 seconds, while also improving compliance through automated testing and reporting.
