Reiter Affiliated Companies (Reiter), the world’s largest fresh-berry producer with operations across North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia, faced growing pains from aging, regionally inconsistent Oracle systems and largely manual HR processes for many thousands of seasonal workers. To support aggressive growth targets and eliminate digital debt, Reiter partnered with Hitachi Vantara to modernize its Oracle footprint and streamline core business and HR processes.

Hitachi Vantara upgraded Reiter’s Oracle E-Business Suite, implemented Oracle Cloud HCM and migrated systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure while providing program management, digital implementation and managed application services. The work—completed under budget—halved hiring and onboarding time (from 30–60 minutes to 15–30 minutes) for seasonal staff, reduced infrastructure requirements, improved productivity and real-time business insights, and continues to deliver risk mitigation, cost optimization and ongoing support as Hitachi Vantara rolls the solution out to additional regions.
