Rabobank Leads the Field With Compliance Discovery Search Time Reduced From Weeks to Hours With Hitachi Content Platform

Rabobank, a global banking and financial services firm, faced slow, error-prone regulatory investigations because compliance teams had to gather communications data from multiple, disparate sources across countries. To give investigators rapid, flexible and auditable access to communications (email, voice, chat, trading messages, etc.), Rabobank engaged Hitachi Vantara to provide a compliance data platform based on Hitachi Content Platform (HCP).

Hitachi Vantara built an ingest-and-search solution using HCP to centrally collate, index and secure structured and unstructured data, with a user-friendly web interface, role-based access and active‑active appliances in the Netherlands and UK. The HCP implementation cut discovery search times from weeks to hours, created an immutable, fully auditable data store, reduced the workload on IT, and enabled Rabobank to apply jurisdictional retention and deletion policies more efficiently.
