Pöttinger Landtechnik GmbH, an Austrian agricultural machinery and digital technology manufacturer, needed to strengthen data security and resiliency while supporting rapidly growing storage demands from smart farming, digital assets, and future IIoT-driven operations. The company was looking for a faster, more cost-efficient, and more scalable data platform, and chose Hitachi Vantara technology to help modernize its mission-critical environment.

Hitachi Vantara implemented a storage cluster built on two Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform E990 arrays with Hitachi Global-Active Device, plus Hitachi Ops Center Administrator and Analyzer for centralized management and performance monitoring. The result was simplified storage administration, lower IT complexity, and improved business resiliency, along with a deduplication and compression rate of 1:2.32 and greater space for future growth.
