Pension Insurance Company Saglasie AD Increases IT Productivity by 100% With Hitachi Storage

PIC Saglasie, a Bulgarian pension insurance company managing over 500,000 customers and pension funds exceeding 1 billion BGN, needed a modern, reliable storage platform to support always-on Oracle databases and thousands of internal and external users. Facing high maintenance costs and limited IT staff, PIC Saglasie selected Hitachi Vantara (with implementation assistance from Stone Computers AD) and adopted Hitachi Unified Storage 110 to replace its legacy infrastructure.

Hitachi Vantara implemented a new SAN based on Hitachi Unified Storage 110, including migration, redundancy, and software such as Hitachi Command Suite, Dynamic Provisioning and ShadowImage replication. The solution doubled performance, cut processing of a 400,000‑record file from roughly half a day to 1.5–2 hours, reclaimed 30–90% of storage capacity across data sources, improved availability and reliability, simplified management, and reduced capital and operating costs.
