The National 9/11 Memorial & Museum engaged Hitachi Vantara to gain visibility into daily operations—visitor reservations, e‑commerce, admissions screening and site capacity management—while keeping costs low. Hitachi Vantara delivered this via Pentaho Business Analytics and Pentaho Data Integration to provide the reporting, analysis and visualization the nonprofit required.
Hitachi Vantara implemented nightly ETL into a MySQL data warehouse (Linux virtual server) and delivered dashboards, alerts and on‑demand reports. The solution automated a two‑ to three‑day reporting task into instant reports, provided capacity alerts to maintain compliance for up to 1,500 visitors, improved revenue visibility and boosted online merchandise sales, and was rapidly deployed with Pentaho professional services.
