Mutual Materials Builds a Solid Future With Oracle Transportation Management Cloud

Mutual Materials, a family‑owned manufacturer with more than 10 plants and 16 branches across the Pacific Northwest, needed better visibility into transportation, lower shipping costs, improved scalability and agility, and non‑disruptive software updates. To meet these goals, Mutual Materials partnered with Hitachi Vantara to move their on‑premises Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) system to Oracle Transportation Management Cloud.

Hitachi Vantara delivered a 12‑week migration and completed the switchover over a single weekend, on time and on budget, using a methodical testing and validation approach to minimize business impact. The OTM Cloud deployment provided continuous updates (versus quarterly), company‑wide transportation visibility, optimized routing that reduced transportation costs, streamlined integrations, improved scalability and more agile processes—creating a scalable foundation for future cloud initiatives.
