REAN Cloud sought to improve the speed and quality of customer service interactions for a multinational telecommunications provider’s global subscriber base. REAN Cloud, now part of Hitachi Vantara, focused on replacing impersonal IVR flows with a more personalized, efficient interface using Amazon Web Services’ Alexa and related AWS services.

Hitachi Vantara implemented a secure, region-specific Alexa skill with intent fulfilment, authentication and backend processing using Alexa, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB and CloudWatch. The solution produced enhanced, personalized customer interactions, cost savings on support operations, improved feedback collection, 24x7 availability and scalable service for the telecom customer.
