Morgan Foods Supports Greater Innovation and Expansion with SAP ERP Upgrade

Morgan Foods, a large private-label canned goods manufacturer, was struggling to meet surging customer demand due to limited visibility and legacy SAP processes. To modernize its manufacturing model and improve planning and supply chain efficiency, Morgan Foods partnered with Hitachi Vantara to upgrade its ERP to SAP S/4HANA and use ERP Modernization Services for SAP (including IBP Supply and a refreshed Fiori user experience).

Hitachi Vantara migrated Morgan Foods from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA in an eight-month project, adding IBP Supply, enhanced production planning/scheduling, embedded analytics and new learning tools for adoption; the launch was completed virtually during COVID-19. As a result, Morgan Foods achieved an optimized supply chain, more accurate forecasting and production planning, greater transactional visibility, streamlined processes that reduced inventory requirements, improved on-time fulfillment and predictable cloud-hosted costs.
