CPFL Energia, one of Brazil’s largest power distributors, needed to improve the performance of its power-grid management system as data volumes grew. Its compression routine was taking days or even up to a week to complete, slowing new installations, customer service, and field operations. Hitachi Vantara was brought in to help, with the VSP G600 data center modernization platform as the core solution.

Hitachi Vantara implemented the VSP G600 with FMD disks and compression capabilities to speed data processing and storage management. As a result, CPFL reduced its compression routine to an average of 32 hours, made network management verification three times faster, and improved overall operational agility, safety, and customer service across its nationwide operations.
