A Hitachi Vantara Case Study
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia faced fragmented reporting across four directorates general, four agencies and thousands of contracts (about 6,000 mining contracts, roughly 200 in oil and gas), leaving data siloed and inconsistent. The Ministry engaged Hitachi Vantara to create a single source of truth, deploying Pentaho Data Integration and Pentaho Data Analytics on Hitachi Advanced Server DS120 with Pentaho implementation services provided by partner Putera Handal Indotama.
Hitachi Vantara built a centralized data warehouse using Pentaho to perform ETL, high‑speed cleansing and validation, and to onboard disparate sources, while Pentaho Business Analytics enabled users to access, blend and analyze data. The result was a consolidated, trusted data repository that simplified data management, delivered a 360° view across subsidiaries and contractors, and provided the foundation for faster, more accurate reporting and analytics across the Ministry.
