Microfinance Leader Provides Accurate Reporting

Developpement International Desjardins, a global microfinance leader, needed to replace a limited, internally developed business intelligence application that was costly and hard to maintain. To modernize reporting and analytics, DID selected Hitachi Vantara’s Pentaho platform—using Pentaho Data Integration and Pentaho Business Analytics—to provide a comprehensive BI solution.

Hitachi Vantara implemented the Pentaho-based solution (running with CentOS, SQL Server and MySQL) to deliver end-to-end data management and analytics; as a result, DID now produces timely, accurate financial reports for government entities, enables partners to rapidly analyze financial statements and performance, improves service to international microfinance partners, and reduces the cost of financial intelligence by providing an affordable analytics application.
