Leveraging Cloud Technology Life Insurance Provider Enjoys Business Advantage

Aegon Life, a leading insurance provider in India, needed to rapidly migrate Windows-based applications to the AWS cloud to modernize its infrastructure, gain elastic capacity, improve time-to-market, and access managed services for ongoing cost optimization. They engaged REAN Cloud, a Hitachi Vantara company, leveraging REAN’s Enterprise Cloud Migration framework, DevOps accelerators and AWS cloud services to meet these goals.

REAN Cloud (Hitachi Vantara) implemented a multi-phased migration—discovery, build and migration, configuration and testing, and cutover—building a secure, multi‑tier AWS architecture using EC2, RDS (multi‑AZ), ElastiCache, S3, VPC/ELB, Lambda and API Gateway. The solution delivered automated, region‑portable deployments, high availability and improved disaster recovery; the program completed in four weeks with onboarding reduced to hours, lowered TCO through optimized EC2/RDS sizing, and enabled new B2B API services.
