La Sarine Health Network Gains Performance And Scalability To Grow Its Digital Services And Provide High-Quality Care To Citizens Across The District

La Sarine Health Network, a public healthcare organization serving 12 establishments across Switzerland’s Canton of Fribourg, needed a more secure, available, and scalable IT foundation to support fast-growing homecare and digital healthcare services for an aging population. Its existing virtualized servers relied on separate onboard hard-disk storage, limiting flexibility, increasing disaster-recovery risk, and nearing capacity. The organization turned to Hitachi Vantara and its Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) F350 to modernize its storage environment.

Hitachi Vantara implemented a centralized, virtualized all-flash storage platform using Hitachi VSP F350, giving La Sarine Health Network a single pool of storage with low latency, strong performance, and room to scale without disruption. The new setup also simplified provisioning and management, eliminating about 100 hours of storage-related work per year and reducing costs through better efficiency and future consolidation opportunities.
