Eurostar, the high-speed rail operator connecting London with multiple European cities, faced a tight six-month deadline to migrate dozens of applications and roughly 30 databases — including its critical Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) — to the cloud while improving EBS performance and providing post-implementation infrastructure management. Hitachi Vantara conducted a technology-agnostic review, recommended AWS, and executed the Oracle EBS migration using sprint/burst capabilities and combined onshore/offshore teams, then provided ongoing infrastructure management. The migration finished in five months, delivered about £3 million in projected savings over five years, improved system availability and performance (reducing service-desk calls), enabled faster app deployments and auto-scaling, and established Hitachi Vantara as a trusted long-term partner.
