ITG Informationstechnik Graz, the IT arm of the City Council of Graz supporting 8,000 users across 210 locations, faced a fragmented, aging infrastructure that threatened data availability, security and scalability for core municipal services. To centralize systems and future-proof operations, ITG selected Hitachi Vantara and its converged and all‑flash solutions, including Hitachi Unified Compute Platform CI, Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform G400 and Hitachi Content Platform.

Hitachi Vantara migrated about 95% of ITG’s environment, consolidating 800 virtual machines on 42 UCP servers, and deployed Hitachi Content Platform and HCP Anywhere with automation via UCP Advisor and remote operations tools.
