Islamic Bank of Thailand faced rapidly expanding and diversified data—growth spiking to 100% year-over-year during expansion and supporting over 750,000 accounts across 107 branches—making centralized tracing, fast retrieval and reliable backups essential. The bank selected Hitachi Vantara, deploying Hitachi Unified Storage 130 and Hitachi IT Operations Analyzer to meet its storage, virtualization and business-continuity requirements.

Hitachi Vantara implemented two HUS 130 systems (one in the data center and one in the disaster recovery center) with block- and object-level storage, VMware compatibility, Brocade switches for faster transfers, and Hitachi IT Operations Analyzer for real-time monitoring. The solution delivers centralized management, enhanced security and scalability, enables backups as frequently as every five minutes, and improved data access and recovery across the bank’s 107 branches and 2,800 employees.
