Ditech, a residential mortgage lender, needed to modernize its IT to increase agility, bring new products and features to market, and reduce operating costs by moving business applications and its Citrix remote desktop environment to the cloud. Ditech engaged Hitachi Vantara (formerly REAN Cloud) for business consulting and a secure hybrid cloud deployment on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Hitachi Vantara designed and implemented a best-in-class, compliant hybrid cloud architecture on AWS, federated identity with Microsoft Active Directory, hardened Amazon Machine Images, and migrated the Citrix environment—moving more than 250 virtual machines that support over 1,800 employees and associated SQL, storefront, Netscaler and Xen components. The solution delivered improved agility and security, aligned to compliance frameworks, and produced TCO/ROI gains that enabled significant cost savings while letting Ditech focus on building business value.
