Infosys Supercharges Application Performance With Hitachi

Infosys, a global IT services company with more than 300,000 employees, needed to ensure fast, reliable performance for hundreds of internal applications supporting employee productivity worldwide. To meet this challenge, Infosys partnered with Hitachi Vantara and upgraded its enterprise storage and converged infrastructure using solutions including Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) 5600, Hitachi Unified Compute Platform CI, Hitachi Content Platform, and Hitachi Ops Center.

With Hitachi Vantara’s latest-generation infrastructure in place, Infosys reduced average application response times to less than 1 millisecond, with worst-case response times below 5 milliseconds. The new environment also cut data center space from eight racks to two and reduced electricity and air-conditioning costs by 50% to 60%, while improving reliability and helping Infosys move closer to its carbon neutrality goals.
