InfoCamere Prepares for Economic Trends With Data

InfoCamere, the IT consortium for the Italian Chambers of Commerce, needed to analyze large, complex datasets (company registers and operational data) to forecast local and regional economic trends and better support Chambers. To replace legacy proprietary BI and enable more user-friendly, near–real-time analysis, InfoCamere selected Hitachi Vantara’s Pentaho Data Integration and Pentaho Business Analytics (implemented with partner BNOVA).

Hitachi Vantara’s Pentaho solution automated data processing and created a self-service reporting environment that manages and integrates more than 500 GB of historical data (local warehouses ~40 GB; Movimprese ~300 GB) and scales as data grows. The platform supports over 500 trained users, delivers faster ad hoc and operational reports, improves nontechnical user access, and strengthens InfoCamere’s ability to forecast and plan for economic upturns and downturns.
