How Cloud Technology Helps Mortgage Insurance Provider Transform Business

Radian, a nationwide private mortgage insurance provider, faced inaccuracies and inefficiencies because multiple systems kept separate copies of the same mortgage documentation across its data center. To centralize information, improve agility, and reduce manual processing, Radian engaged REAN Cloud Application Modernization Services, now from Hitachi Vantara, to modernize its platform and move core workflows to the cloud.

Hitachi Vantara (REAN Cloud) built an AWS-based platform using services such as Amazon EC2, S3 and DynamoDB, along with a custom token vending machine, Amazon SWF, RDS, and security controls (including S3 encryption, KMS and Sophos UTM) to tokenize and anonymize PII before ingesting data. The solution delivered an elastic, secure and compliant processing framework, shortened time to market for strategic products, enforced AWS best practices, and improved data security and operational efficiency.
