Hitachi Technology Makes Backup and Statutory Archiving a Quietly Successful Operation for Tunisie Telecom

Tunisie Telecom, the national operator with about 8,000 employees and over seven million subscribers, needed a secure, regulation‑compliant way to archive call detail records, emails and backups while improving availability and automating operations. To meet strict WORM and audit requirements and implement a robust business‑continuity plan, the carrier selected Hitachi Vantara solutions including Hitachi Content Platform 500XL and Hitachi Unified Storage, deployed with Symantec Enterprise Vault and integration services from partner TMI.

Hitachi Vantara implemented scalable HCP object storage for statutory archiving and HUS for deduplicated, compressed backup with automatic mirroring to a second site.
