OAO OTKRITIE Brokerage House, a leading Russian brokerage, needed to modernize its IT infrastructure to ensure continuous access to business-critical services, simplify administration, and provide robust disaster protection across two geographically separated data centers. To build a cloud-ready, fail-safe storage platform, the brokerage selected a Hitachi Vantara solution (Hitachi Data Systems) based on Hitachi NAS Platform (HNAS) and Hitachi Unified Storage (HUS) technologies.

Hitachi Vantara implemented mirrored HUS 130 arrays, HNAS 3080 file clusters, VMware vSphere Metro Storage Cluster active‑active operation, TrueCopy synchronous replication, and DWDM/Brocade SAN connectivity, with installation support from Hitachi Vantara Global Solution Services. The deployment delivered automated failover and guaranteed access to critical services, cut hardware and leasing costs, reduced rack footprint, increased virtualization from 30% to 60% within ten months, and accelerated a high‑load database server by 4–4.5×.
