A Hitachi Vantara Case Study
Detox Group, a Surat-based environmental infrastructure and waste management company, needed a high-availability ERP platform (SAP) to support aggressive growth and improve reporting, process control and compliance. They sought a single integrated hardware and virtualization partner to avoid third‑party licensing and complexity; Hitachi Vantara delivered the solution using its Hitachi Unified Compute Platform (including Compute Blade 500, Unified Storage 110) and LPAR-based virtualization.
Hitachi Vantara implemented an all‑inclusive converged infrastructure with CB500 servers, HUS storage, Hitachi Command Suite and logical partitioning, plus training and SLAs, eliminating the need for third‑party virtualization licenses. As a result, Detox reduced capital and ongoing software support costs, simplified management with a single vendor, achieved 24/7 availability and faster SAP reporting/decision‑making, and realized measurable capacity and performance gains (e.g., ~80 CPU cores, 1 TB memory and dedicated production/non‑production storage).
