Hitachi Consulting UK Delivers Change Management Program for NATS

National Air Traffic Services (NATS) needed to transform its IT under the “Our Future Workspace” programme to deliver smarter, more collaborative working for about 6,000 staff, shrink its environmental footprint and target £9 million in IT cost savings over four years while enabling future growth and acquisitions. NATS engaged Hitachi Vantara to lead the change management programme and to implement SharePoint as part of a move to a cloud‑based, virtualized infrastructure (multicloud acceleration and app modernization).

Hitachi Vantara defined and tested a change framework via workshops and pilot groups, built internal IS team capability and change agents, and implemented SharePoint within the new virtualized environment to provide role‑based, mobile access and consistent application delivery. As a result, Hitachi Vantara’s work has improved cross‑regional collaboration, created a more flexible, responsive IT platform for employees and laid the foundation to achieve the project’s targeted cost savings and growth objectives.
